Step back into another era in this elegant old mansion built at the turn
of the century (1904) and fully restored with its heavy plaster moldings
and ornate stained glass and beveled windows. This impressive Queen Anne
Revival style house was designed built between 1902 and 1904 just north of
the intersection of Rennie's Mill Road and Monkstown Road in St. John's.
The exterior is clad in shingles and clapboard, with detailing similar to
that of "Winterholme" and "Bartra" both of which have been designated by
the Heritage Foundation. In particular, the large porch and classically
inspired pediment seem typical of Butler's work.

Sleep tight in our heavy plaster rooms featuring enhanced mattresses,
black-out drapes, and variable lighting levels. Our original fireplaces
are decorative only and sealed to prevent use.
Our two large bedroom suites feature double Jacuzzi tubs, king size beds,
sofa chairs, desk and all the amenities one would expect in a boutique in
from CCTV to writing desk and bar fridge.

West you have Presentation Convent, the Basilica of St. John the Baptist,
the Rooms Complex, Ches's Fish and Chips, City Hall, Mile One Stadium and
the Delta Hotel Convention Center and to the South St. John's Harbor and
George Street.
Halfway between Hotels Fairmont Newfoundland and Delta Conference Center
and two blocks up from the Harbor.
